Warehouse Team Leader
Are you a night owl with a knack for leadership and a passion for efficiency? We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to lead our night picking operations team in our bustling foodservice warehouse.
The offer:
- Full-time permanent role (40 hours a week)
- Sunday to Friday, 5:30 pm to 2:30 am
- $30.00 to $32.00 hourly rate
- Based at Ihumatao Road, Mangere (near Auckland Airport)
- Discounted staff orders etc.

The role:
- Prepare shift
- Organise staffing levels and rostering
- Manage staff workloads
- Monitor teams' productivity and hit the company’s targets
- Ensure order deadlines are met
- Monitor and minimise errors
- Train new staff
- Ensure teams follow the company’s SOPs and house rules
- General Warehouse duties and Forklift operating
- Unloading and loading trucks
- Replenishment
The person:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Must have either two years of relevant warehouse leadership experience or NZQF level 2 or equivalent or higher qualification. (either one)
- Must have Forklift/Bendi License; ideal to operate a forklift-mounted safety platform (man-cage).
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment (temperature can be as low as -24 degrees)
- No criminal convictions related to harm, theft or drugs
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Be physically strong and fit; the job involves hand loading and hoist work.
- Basic English and numerical literacy
- Scanning and Computer skills are advantageous
- A self- starter who doesn't need constant supervision- you will own this role.
- Have reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- You will be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg.
- Be extremely reliable, a proven record of exceptional attendance in all previous work.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Must have their own transport.
