Store Person (Night shift)


We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Store Person to join our fast-paced and dynamic Night Shift Pick Pack team (Chiller) within our Auckland Foodservice team.

Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

As a Store person, you will play a key role in efficiently picking and packing chilled food products for customer orders in a temperature-controlled environment (approximately 9°C). PPE will be provided.

  • Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, Auckland
  • Shifts: Sunday to Friday, 04:30 pm – 01:00 am
  • Position: Permanent, full time

 The main job responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently picking and packing goods for dispatch
  • Achieve a high accuracy rate in picking orders without errors
  • Coordinating and ensuring that the orders are packed on time.
  • Ensure goods are dispatched accurately as per order requirements
  • Maintaining a neat and tidy workplace at the end of your shift.
  • Heavy lifting up to 20-25 kgs.
  • Wrap pallets and assist in loading and dispatching
  • Assist with general warehouse functions including stock take

Mōu | About you

You will have experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment in a similar role, with a background in pick packing being ideal. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong individual who can keep pace in our fast-moving work environment. You should be able to handle the physicality of the role and thrive under pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Important attributes:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
  • Experience in pick packing is an advantage
  • Physically fit and able to lift goods and heavy food cartons with ease
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (reading, writing, and mathematics)
  • Scanning and computer skills are advantageous
  • A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven record of excellent attendance in previous roles
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Forklift license is advantageous
  • Must have reliable transport to the workplace
