Quality & Compliance Coordinator


Service Foods Waikato is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our team.

The Quality & Compliance Coordinator will ensure that our Waikato and the Bay of Plenty branches are operating are in compliance with the highest standards. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving our compliance processes, while also assisting with documentation and reporting. You will be part of the Service Foods Quality & Compliance team.

The role:

  • Full-time permanent role.
  • 5 days per week
  • Location: Predominately Hamilton
  • Immediate start

The job:

You will be implementing food safety compliance policies and procedures, conducting internal audits and training staff on food safety and quality best practices. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and integrity of our products. The main responsibilities include:  

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards, including the Risk Management Programme and custom Food Control Plan.
  • Creating site-specific documents for quality and compliance requirements.
  • Conducting and coordinating training for staff.  
  • Identifying areas for improvement through; analysis of complaints, investigations, internal audits, site inspections, and communication with others.
  • Creating and coordinating quality related corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline compliance processes.

The person:

You will have a tertiary qualification in food safety or in a related field. You would also have relevant experience in a similar role.

Preferably you will have experience in:

  • Project management.
  • Managing a Risk Management Programme.
  • Quality role in a meat manufacturing, produce, and/or food distribution.
  • Working within a Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Focussed and result oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Strong computer and administration skills
  • Prior NZ experience in food service processes
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Honesty, integrity and reliability are essential.
