About the Role

• Location: Saltash Street, Vogeltown, New Plymouth
• Employment Type: Part-Time, Permanent
• Start Date: Immediate
• Working Hours: Monday, Thursday and Friday (07:00 am to 01:00pm)
• Note: Start/finish times may vary depending on customer orders and business requirements.

As a key member of our Taranaki branch, you'll be a true all-rounder, supporting warehouse operations, deliveries, stock management, dispatch, and occasional administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to help a small team succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles and complete deliveries accurately and on time.
• Load and unload vehicles and assist with general warehouse operations.
• Receive, inspect, barcode, label, and record incoming stock.
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock rotation (FIFO).
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and expiry dates.
• Support dispatch activities, truck loading, and invoice processing.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with occasional administrative tasks and order entry.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all health, safety, and food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform manual handling and heavy lifting as required.

What We're Looking For

• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Forklift and/or Class 2 Licence would be advantageous.
• Physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn SAGE.
• Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous warehouse, pick-packing, delivery, or food industry experience is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
• Familiarity with New Plymouth and surrounding areas is advantageous.
• Clean driving and criminal record.
• NZ Citizen, Resident, or holder of a valid New Zealand work visa.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role involving regular lifting of up to 20 kgs, loading and unloading deliveries, repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, and twisting, and extended periods of driving, standing, walking, and manual handling. Applicants should be comfortable with the physical nature of the role and able to safely perform its inherent requirements.
