Delivery Driver - Class 1 (Weekends)

With a commitment to excellence, we take pride in delivering fresh and sustainable products to our valued customers. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Class 1 Delivery Driver to join our Wellington branch on a Permanent Part-Time basis.

As a Delivery Driver at Service Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in pristine condition.

• Days of work: Saturday & Sunday 
• Shifts Time: 04:00 am to 12:00 pm (approx. depending on volume)
• Location: William Durant Drive, Trentham, Upper Hutt
• Immediate start

The job:

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fresh produce to various locations in and around Wellington, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the integrity of our business.

• Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport goods.
• Load and unload products, ensuring they are securely and safely transported.
• Deliver goods according to customer orders in a timely manner.
• Pick and Pack orders when required.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
• Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirement.
• Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
• Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required.

The candidate: 

• A full Class 1 drivers license, must be able to drive manual.
• Have clear communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on weekdays to cover absences will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of Wellington and its surrounding areas is a plus.
• Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail.
• Clean driving and criminal records.
• Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
• Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Have reliable transport for commute.
