Customer Service Representative
Service Foods Napier is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join the team.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers — managing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues efficiently and professionally. You’ll use Salesforce (CRM) and Sage (ERP) systems to maintain accurate records and support seamless operations across departments.
Position snapshot:
- Location: Turner Place, Onekawa
- Shift: Tuesday to Saturday mornings
- Hours:
- Tue–Fri: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Sat: 06:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt and accurate order processing and communication
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting sales and data accuracy
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, fax, and online channels
- Enter and manage customer orders in Sage (ERP) and update records in Salesforce (CRM)
- Monitor and manage customer backorders to ensure timely delivery
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities to support revenue growth
- Follow up on customer queries, complaints, and requests, coordinating with internal teams for resolution
About You
The ideal candidate is a proactive and resilient individual with a solid
background in customer service. You thrive in fast-paced environments, stay
calm under pressure, and are committed to delivering outstanding service with
professionalism and care.
Key Attributes:
- Professional phone manner and strong communication skills
- Experience in customer support, call centre, or similar roles
- High attention to detail and strong data entry skills
- Excellent time management and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential); experience with Salesforce and ERP systems (advantageous)
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and adaptable approach
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Knowledge of the food services or warehouse industry is a plus
- Year 13 or equivalent qualification required
