As our demand continues to grow, we’re looking for dedicated and hardworking Butchers to join our Auckland team.
Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
As a butcher, you will be part of a fast paced team and assist in providing high quality meat cuts. You will be a confident Butcher, matching qualification and/or experience is beneficial.
Key Details:
- Position: Permanent, Full-Time
- Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, Auckland
- Shift Timings: 4:00 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut meat to separate muscle, fat and tissue from around the bones.
- Cut specialised cuts, deboning and trimming of various meat types.
- Wrapping and packing of meat cuts and products.
- Move carcasses to boning table for preparation and work on machinery for processing.
- Pack processed stock into cartons for storage.
- Ensure that the stock is labelled correctly and packed as per Operational SOPs.
- Check to ensure all meat are stored properly and stock is rotated.
- Maintain high standards of Food safety, Quality, and Health and Safety at all times.

Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate about their craft. You should be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering quality results.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- A Trade qualification or relevant butchery experience beneficial.
- Skill and experience in cutting meat and preparing standard meat cuts.
- Proven skills in Beef Boning or Slicing.
- Around 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Butcher.
- Evidence of a referenced, stable work history.
- Be physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items.
- A proven commitment to Safety & Wellbeing and Food Safety in the workplace.
- Organised, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
